Home of Chambourcin
Chambourcin is a French American hybrid grape variety, fused between the European Vitis Vinifera and American Root stock. By grafting the varieties together results in the vines have a higher resistance to pest and disease allowing us to grow our vines organically. The variety was introduced into Australia in the late 1960’s and was planted along the North East Coast of NSW.Chambourcin is an amazingly versatile light to medium bodied wine. With its dark plum colourings, Mulberry aromas and spicy plum flavours we can produce rich Fortifieds and refreshing Roses along with a classical light red wine which can be enjoyed slightly chilled or left at room temperature to capture the aromatic essence of the earthy red.
